The task
Tetiana Metsler opened Fellzauber, a one-person grooming salon in Zweibrücken, in March 2026. A new salon has no regulars yet, and dog owners do not hand their dog to a stranger lightly: they want to know it will be calm, what it will cost and what the result looks like. She needed a site in German that answers those questions before the first message, lets her add new work herself, and follows German rules on privacy, because a small business there can be fined over a font loaded from Google.
A price before the first message.
Three questions — the dog's weight, the service, the state of the coat — give an honest range and how long it will take. For dogs over 20 kg the estimator says “on request” instead of inventing a number, because the price list has no such line.
A separate page explains the first visit: how long it takes, how to prepare the dog, and a straight word about matted coats. Owners arrive knowing what to expect.

Results sell grooming better than any promise, so the gallery is the heart of the page: 31 before/after pairs, filtered by coat type, from poodles and doodles to spitz.
Tetiana runs the site herself. A small admin panel built for this site lets her change texts and upload photos, and large photos are compressed on upload so the page stays fast as the gallery grows.
Fast, and by German rules.
Fonts are served from the salon's own server, and the map loads only when a visitor taps it, so nothing is sent to Google without consent. The privacy policy covers hosting, WhatsApp and Maps.
Photos on the page went from 8.1 MB to 1.07 MB, the page renders on the server instead of waiting for the CMS, and it still works with JavaScript off.
